With sun and the seashore, with the Gulf of Mexico and the highest per capita gathering of beautiful golf courses, Naples, Florida is a great place to live and to visit.  Naples' attractions, amenities and activities blend harmoniously to make the local property owner proud.

Properties along exquisitely groomed golf courses in Naples such as Wilderness Country Club in North Naples with numerous pools and lakes may be perfect for your lifestyle.  Country clubs like Foxfire, Countryside, Naples Heritage, Cedar Hammock, Royal Wood, Hibiscus, Glades and many more stream across the landscape.

Do you need a Naples property with a boatslip?  Luxurious waterfront properties in Naples are available for the swimmers, fishermen and artists in the crowd.  Next to the fabulous estates are some relatively inexpensive single-family homes in Naples that are still close to the wonderful natural sites.  An historic Naples home with a French flair or Georgian architecture may satisfy your yen for the classic.  Even a commercial property in Naples will inspire your creativity.

Whether a new home in Naples or a vacation home, an investment property in Naples or a condo in Naples, all Collier County neighborhoods wrap around lovely parks and green spaces, recreational facilities, shopping and award-winning restaurants.   The unparalleled white-sand beaches of the Gulf of Mexico trump it all, however, and over 35 miles of barrier islands multiply the opportunities for shelling and strolling into the sunsets.

This area was visited by Spanish explorer Ponce de Leon in the 1500s, home to the Calusa Indians until the 1700s, the Seminoles in the 1800s, and various European pioneers and vacationers—all of these have influenced the city today.  Collier County was founded by the legacy of entrepreneur Barron Gift Collier on May 8, 1923.  Its center of governing was moved here from Everglades City in 1966.  Leadership, the railroad, the Tamiami Trail through the swampland from Tampa to Miami were all important factors in the movement of people into this area.  So, spun out of a rich Indian heritage combined with a European pioneering influence, an interesting synergy continues to endow the area.

It’s the cosmopolitan population that brings talent and culture to the area, enjoyed by tourists and residents alike.  The Philharmonic Center for the Arts, Dinner Theater, art galleries, historic sites, the picturesque Naples Trolley Tours and the display of mansions along Port Royal add an appreciation for beauty.  With a spectacular selection of fashionable centers and plazas, small boutiques and shops at Bayfront, Crayton Cove, Third Street, Fifth Avenue South, Tin City and Venetian Village as well as the Coastland Center Mall and Waterside Shops, thoughtful shopping is an art here.

And the natural attractions preserved at the Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary, Naples Zoo at Caribbean Gardens, Wiggins State Park Beach showcase rare species of flora and fauna.  The adventurous among you may want to sample the swamp buggy and airboat rides, island tours and the Collier Seminole State Park to the south on the way to visiting the unique Florida Everglades.

With its own airport, this city hosts multitudes of special events and retreats, reunions and recreational expeditions.  For example, three of the United States' premier teaching programs offer a variety of schools ranging from intensive three- or five-day programs to half-day or hour-long clinics are available.  It’s no wonder that teachers from all over love to visit southwest Florida, as do people from around the world!
